Sorry Daz, I love the site, but Im not willing to pay a subscription fee for news that I can find from other sources. I’ll still visit the site & everything, but I think that it’s wrong that you’re asking this from people who can just as easily not pay & just get the news from other sources. You should just remove some other stuff from the site, because there’s probably alot on here that many people don’t look at, or won’t miss if it were taken off…such as the songlists & the mp3’s which have been up long enough. Sorry Daz!!! Still love the site though.

Removing the files isn’t, unfortunately, going to bring down the costs. It’s not really an issue of webspace, it’s just an issue of uploading files – cos I have to pay to upload them and stuff. Thanks for the people who have offered to donate…I’m currently trying to think of other ways to stop paying for the site out of my own pocket, because as I don’t have a job or anything, I’m losing money which I don’t really have!! I’m in debt to my dad still! LOL
Daz, have you thought about putting some banners on your site? You have plenty of visitors so that should make you maybe enough to finance the site with. I know its not really pretty banners and all, but i think its a better solution then making ppl pay because i dont’ think many ppl would do that…Just a thought, i would really look into some good banner deals if i were you!

I’m not sure I understand your dilemma, Daz. You said in your newsletter that your web host is politely asking you to cut down on your bandwidth. But here you are saying it is because of uploading files, and you have to pay to do that. If you don’t want to take down your large files why don’t you find another host to put those files on and just link to it from here? Just a suggestion. Good luck!
A first, I wasn’t to keen on paying just to get some news info, but I had to think about how much you actually do for the website and how you keep us informed about Janet, so paying 5 bucks really shouldn’t matter. I am not the richest person in the world,but I think I can scrape 5 little dollars for a good cause.

Daz, I’m sorry to hear about your problems with the site. It sounds like you can get some donations to keep it free for a while longer, but my suggestion for the long run is to make a poll of which parts of the site no one really goes to and take what people vote for off or make them special sections that occasionally occur. You have accumulated SO much awesome stuff on your site, it would be a shame for those of us who come almost daily to have to pay. Good luck
