hey ya’ll in the u.s. Janet will be appearing on the Soul Train Awards this weekend (Saturday) 8pm pst I think but you have to verify that.

Um.. I downloaded the album yesterday and I must say it is an amazing album.

I love it!

It’s not her best work, but it is amazing.

The best songs are probably "Strawberry Bounce", a fun, boppy, dancy kinda song. "Island Life" is my all time fave, it’s just amazing. Her voice during the chorus is just heavenly.

I also like "Thinkin’ Bout My Ex", which is a slow ballad that is soultry.

Overall, I think the album is amazing. There are many songs that suck, like "I Want You", which is my most hated Janet song EVER!!! But the album has some of her greatest…’

Go download it rite now! Wait.. don’t, just go buy it..

And did you know that DJ is currently the most downloaded album on the net? Is that a good thing? Well alls I know is that I was one of those millions of people, but it was worth it..

And if you do download it, listen and delete and make sure you still buy it!!!

i’ve heard about 9 tracks and so far i really liked Thinking About My Ex, R&B Junkie, Damita Jo, Strawberry Bounce and I Want You. JALW is one of my least favorite Janet tracks ever. I’m glad this is a more r&b album.

oh yeah, and to the person who heard Island Life…was it like a reggae/dancehall kinda song?? I was hoping she would do something like that.

This album is for sure not her best work ever, but it’s OK. There are not as many up tempo dance songs as I hoped, mostly this album is filled with slower R&B stuff, which is OK, but Janet has a better style for harder dance stuff. The imported track ‘Could This Be Love’ is very good. Sorry to see that it won’t be on the american release.

just keep in mind kids that alot of the time janets music is way ahead of its time so perhaps this is her best work to date so try to keep your minds open 😉 :satisfied: 😉 :satisfied:

hmm.. is anyone into high quality R&B.. if not, you will not like this cd… Janet’s Damita Jo is hot.. I’ve only heard about 6 tracks and each one is something new.. and something different.. her vocals..incredible.. and her lyrics.. on point and real.. I’m very pleased with the cd thus far..

This is off the hook. The whole album just feels so right. THis is easily the best of R&B of 2004. It’s funny becuase JALW doenst seem like it fits with the restof the cd. DOnt get me wrong i like the song, but it’s nothing like the other song. I guess she wanted to make an R&B album, but still remind us that she is the queen of POP (I’m getting 4 copies…home/car/office and one for my sister. It’s sad how the media has treated her recently because this is one of her best works ever. I hope in the end they hear the music.
