Janet has posted a new message on her official website, Janet-Jackson.com.
Hey u guys-
How are u? How is your summer going? Mine is sooo busy. Video shoots, photo shoots, radio tours and I’m about to start rehearsals soon because if u didn’t know, I’ll be performing live on The Today Show on September 29th. Stay tuned 4 details on the location. I hope u will join me there.
But before all of that, I’m on my way to D.C., Atlanta and Chicago to do a small radio promotional tour so I can meet some radio program directors and press and talk about my new album. Then I’ll be back in New York to shoot the cover for Italian Vanity Fair with the fabulous Ruven Afandaor and then off to Europe. I’m going to London, Berlin and Paris to visit my fans across the seas and do some press and radio interviews and of course experience the nightlife! While in Paris, I’m going to shoot the cover of V magazine with the incredible Jean Paul Goude — I’m so excited — Paris is 1 of my favorite cities in the world. So look for me as I’ll be looking for u.
After Europe I’ll come back to New York to visit BET’s 106 & Park on July 31st. Please come n hang out w/me there and don’t forget to catch the world premiere of my video on BET’s “Access Granted” on July 26th. I hope u like it!
And guess what, I have something just for u. On Monday July 17th, log onto Yahoo.com and enter a contest where u can design a cover for my new album. I know how creative u guys are and I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do. This should be fun and yes, I will be the one and only judge!

Janet presented an award at last night’s ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Awards. Vince Young received the Best Championship Performance of the Year award from Janet. Dressed in black, Janet was accompanied by boyfriend Jermaine Dupri down the red carpet last night.

Janet on the Call on Me set on Extra
Janet was interviewed on the set of Call On Me by entertainment programme Extra. Janet spoke of her love for Jermaine: “He’s my other half, my better half. He’s always there for me, as he should be and I try to be for him. I’ve finally got it right.”
When asked whether it could be a long term future for the couple she said, “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask Jermaine that! Hopefully. I mean we’ve been together five years now!”
Janet and boyfriend Jermaine Dupri made a surprise appearance tonight on Power 106 FM to discuss Janet’s upcoming project and a whole host of other interesting things.
Jermaine spoke of an album cover competition in which fans get to design the cover for Janet’s upcoming 20 Years Old album. When talking about the genre of music on the album, he mentioned that both him and Janet were currently in discussions to put together a special one-off Control Show – a show in which Janet would perform songs from the Control album as an anniversary celebration of the 20 years since it was released.
Janet confirmed that her and Jermaine both visit MySpace.com often and that they often read messages posted by fans on the official website forum.
Jermaine also spoke about Janet’s appearance on the Today Show on September 29th. He said that Nelly would definitely be joining Janet on stage that day. He also stated that the video for Call On Me will premiere on July 26.

In a recent interview with AllHipHop.com, rapper Khia commented on her upcoming collaboration with Janet on the track ‘So Excited’.
AllHipHop.com: Now I hear that you might have a song with Janet Jackson? Is that true?
Khia: Ohhhh! [in shock] Yes, it’s true. The song is going to be promoted with her album, not with mine. It’s called “So Excited.” It’s a hot track, and it’s going to be the second single off her album. I love Janet to death. I was so excited when she called to do the song. I think it’s a good tag team and I enjoyed working with her. I turned down a lot of people that wanted to collaborate and said I’d never collaborate with another female rapper, but I couldn’t turn down Janet.

Hi u guys –
How r u? Did you have a great 4th of July? I did. Got a chance to spend some quality time n Atl. So what’s new with u? I am so busy. I just spent last week shooting the video in LA with director, Hype Williams. Nelly makes a guest appearance and I think you are going to love it — its really fun and whimsical.
I’m also getting ready to present at this year’s ESPY Awards which tapes in Los Angeles next week. Its my first time doing the show so it should be a lot of fun! And, of course, I have some more photo shoots coming up. Giant Magazine, Hollywood Life Magazine and W Magazine with famed photographer, Michael Thompson. Then at the end of the month I’m off to Europe to promote my new album and shoot the cover of V Magazine with the incredible Jean Paul Goode n 1 of my favorite cities Paris. I’m really excited about that shoot n I’ll tell you more about my European trip next time.
But all in all life is so good, I’m so at peace and you guys let me know every day how loved I am. Well, its time to go, but don’t forget to write. I love hearing from u. Enjoy the summer….see u soon!
