In an interview with E! News Daily 10, Janet has implied that she’s undecided about the recent furore surrounding Brit Amy Winehouse‘s win at the Grammy’s this year. She said:
I hear where Natalie is coming from, and I think she would understand it better than I could because she’s been there. She’s been addicted to drugs and had those issues. I could see her side of it, for sure, and it’s kind of a catch-22 for myself, because it does feel like someone is being rewarded for a negative act.
And then I think about it, and I’m not saying it’s right, but the music business has always been about sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.

I have to say I am a little surprised that janet seems to have sided with natalie cole. I am a HUGE fan of Amy Winehouse and I personally think she derserved her grammys. She was being praised for her accomplishments in music and not her personal life. No one is perfect and its unfortunate that Amy is facing this very difficult ordeal in her life, and its really sad that something as personal as her drug issue has become so public. But she won those grammys for her music in which she derserved cause her album is amazing and she is an amazing talent.
Well, I understand where Janet, Natalie, and Tirza is coming from. I wokin the industry and actually, the more out of it and unaware you are the better! Cause they like to control the artist! People only see the surface. Trust me, people in the her business are contributing to her drug usage. As an artist you have some form of a responsibility to your public. It’s a double-edge sword!!! I prefer Amy to be healthy then sell a CDor win a Grammy. Plus, the Grammys needed viewers, it’s a business folk…controversy peeks interest!
