In an email from Janet’s official website, JanetJackson.com, it has been confirmed that on February 26th (Discipline‘s release date) Janet will attend three events.
At 7am: Janet will perform on Good Morning America at the Nokia Theatre
At 3pm: Janet will perform on MTV TRL in a live performance at 1515 Broadway.
At 6pm: Janet will sign copies of Discipline at Best Buy at 529 5th Avenue.
CNN has posted an interview on their website with Janet that they recorded recently in Los Angeles. In it she talks about working with Jermaine and a possible Jackson reunion tour.
Hi all,
Huge apologies to everyone who tried to get on the site at midnight tonight. It appears that the viral effect of news spreading by the power that is the interweb meant that too many people logged on at the same time.
So once again, really sorry for that.
Finally, before I go to bed (2 hours later than I was planning!), I have to say guys, DON’T download the CD if you can help it. The tracks I had heard through my computer on MP3 format just DO NOT live up to what it sounds like on the real CD. Rock With You sounds VERY VERY different, 2Nite has a lot more bass. Greatest Ex has higher notes. If you can wait, WAIT. Trust me, as Janet says, she’ll “be worth the wait”.
That’s me over and out, severely tired.
Nitey nite
Darren

P.S. To all the haters that have been writing pretty abusive stuff on the forums, please remember that us webmasters don’t HAVE to do any of this. I choose to do it as a hobby, because I enjoy it and because I love Janet. The people behind websites also have feelings and although there are a lot of positive comments, it only takes one or two negative ones to make you question the work you do. But yes, if I’m honest, tonight I wish all I’d done is sit at home listening to my CD, watching the DVD and not even come online – but I did…for you.
***SPOILER ALERT***
Janet Love now has the limited edition of Janet’s upcoming album Discipline. In silver packaging, it includes a bonus DVD, booklet and the CD which also features the bonus track Let Me Know (a clip of which you can now hear on this site). The UK version of the album artwork does, indeed, as previously thought include the words JANET JACKSON on her sleeve whereas the US version simply says JANET. Also, listen out for Kyoko!
For more, you need to be a registered user to read more info on the DVD as well as see over 50 photos from it. So don’t read on if you still want to be surprised…
In the DVD, we are taken behind the scenes of Janet in the recording studio laying down backing vocals for Rollercoaster and then to the set of Feedback where Janet gets honey poured over her. We also meet the kids in rehearsals for the Feedback video as well as watching Janet on the set of several photoshoots.
She explains how you can never take enough photos because of the demand from magazines in the US and Europe for a constant supply and she also tells us her take on the meaning behind the Feedback video.
Janet Love has been asked to promote a Discipline listening party for Janet’s Ireland fans. The event will take place this Thursday (February 21st) at Pantibar, Capel Street, Dublin at 8pm. Turn up for drinks and giveaways courtesy of Universal Music Ireland. All welcome!
Janet Love has learnt that the second single to be released off Discipline in the UK will be Luv. A video will be shot in due course.
Jermaine Dupri has posted a video of Janet backstage at last night’s NAACP Awards. Watch it below.
Janet Love has learnt that Janet’s promotional trip to the UK and Europe will be taking place at the end of March/beginning of April. More information as soon as we get it.
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new song – for YOU! And we’re feeling good!
Enjoy the latest clip everyone – and let us know what you think about it. It’s called Greatest Ex, produced by The Dream and T. Stewart.
Oh and to those of you emailing me about me talking over the top of it – it’s so the pirates don’t have a field day. We support Janet and support paying for music – so please go and buy the CD if you enjoy the songs. And by the way, yes I have a cold – hence the nasal sound!
Love to all,
Darren
