Janet Jackson has announced that she’s soon to release a new album and go on a world tour.
Black Diamond, whose album release date is as yet unknown, will see Janet hit 34 North American cities as part of a new world tour in which she’ll showcase new music and also perform a special tribute to Rhythm Nation.
Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.

Watch Janet perform at MTV EMAs
Janet performed at the MTV European Music Awards tonight in Bilbao.
Performing a medley of songs, she also sang some of her song Made For Now in Spanish.
She also mixed the song with the breakdown from All For You and a rather funky Rhythm Nation remix.

Janet then went on to accept her Global Icon award in which she used her speak to talk about equality and the fight for justice and women.
“Tonight I feel moved to speak for women whose voices have been stifled,” she said. “I am one of those women. Women who have been gagged, both literally and emotionally. Women who have been abused, women who have been intimidated, women who have lived in fear, I stand with you. You are my sisters.”
“Tonight I carry the hope that a new world is emerging. A world in which caring people – male as well as female – will no longer tolerate gender inequality.”

Janet Jackson does the Baby Shark dance
Janet Jackson has performed perhaps the trickiest dance move of her career – the Baby Shark.
In an interview with Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob, Janet learnt the new dance taking kids all over the world by storm.
Watch below.
In an interview with Baby Spice Emma Bunton, Janet Jackson learnt some good old British phrases such as “Cheeky Nandos” and “getting trollied”.
Spice Girl Emma Bunton revealed that Janet is one of her favourite singers and that she grew up listening to Rhythm Nation and that she first danced with a boy to “Let’s Wait Awhile”.
Janet also spoke about the #MeToo movement as well as talking about how her son Eissa loves the piano.
When asked if she’d encourage him to be a musician, Janet said: “Only if he wants to be. But it’s not an easy life. So it’s truly up to him. If he has a passion for it. He loves piano. He loves drums. He loves music.”
Presenter Jamie Theakston then asked, “He’s not playing the piano before the age of two surely?”, to which Janet replied, “Yeah.”
“He doesn’t bang on it. You know most kids would bang on it? He actually … it’s really interesting because he’ll play a melody.”
“He’ll play something and he’ll go to another note, two notes. And then he’ll go back to the first two notes. And there’s a rhythm to it. It honestly blew my mind.”

Janet hints she’d work with Justin Bieber
In an interview in London, Janet Jackson hinted that she wouldn’t be opposed to working with Justin Bieber.
“I’m not opposed to working with Justin. I’ve heard his music. I think he’s talented,” Janet said.
“I wouldn’t mind doing something with…I will…don’t want to say too much. But there’s nothing in the works, I haven’t…but I’ve been…because that’s what it sounds like right?”
“Because I have been approached and we’ll see what happens,” Janet said.
Intriguing, Janet!
In an interview in London with LBC, Janet Jackson confirmed that her State Of The World Tour will be global and will see international dates.
“I’ve not finished with the State Of The World Tour. I’ve always said it was a world tour,” she said. “There’s still lots of places that I have to go to and I’m looking forward to being there.”
Whilst she didn’t confirm any other specifics, Janet also spoke a lot about religion and spirituality. When asked what was “up there”, she said it wasn’t a person but it was “nothing but love”.
She was also asked her thoughts on Donald Trump but said she “didn’t want to dive into politics”.
Asked about her fans she said, “I love the fact that we have a great relationship and it’s a beautiful thing.”
“I see the same group of people in the first few rows, even from Europe. And when they realise that I recognise them I can see that it warms them.”
